INAUGRUATION OF ZOOLOGY ASSOCIATION
The inauguration of the Dr. Salim Ali Zoology Association and a seminar on healthy foods for women were held on September 1, 2026. The Head of the Department, Dr. M. Peer Muhammad, delivered the welcome address. The College Principal, Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan, presided over the event. Assistant Professor Dr. E. Roshan Ara Begum introduced the special guests. Dr. S. Muthu Mareeswari, Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women, Keelakarai, spoke about nutritional foods for women. Subsequently, Mr. M. Saravanakumar, the Food Safety Officer of Ilayangudi, delivered a special address on food adulteration and methods to detect it. During the event, students displayed nutritional foods and traditional dishes. The event was coordinated by S. Ruvaitha, a third-year Zoology student. Finally, Assistant Professor Arunadevi proposed the vote of thanks. Three hundred students participated in the event.
