A painting competition on election awareness was conducted on 13.8.2026 in the college by National Service Scheme, Road Safety Committee and Red Cross Society. The event was attended by the principal of the college Mr. Inaugurated by S.E.A Jabarullah Khan. More than 15 students participated in the competition. Country Welfare Program Officers Dr. P. Zakir Hussain, Dr. K. Mahendran, Dr. Shifa, Dr. R. Syed Ali Fatima organized the event.
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
