In accordance with the guidelines of the Tamil Nadu Government, an event to take an anti-drug awareness pledge was held on June 25, 2026. College Principal Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan administered the pledge against drug abuse, and the students solemnly took the oath. The event was organized by the college’s Anti-Drug Cell in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Youth Red Cross (YRC).
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
