INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

OVERVIEW

  • Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Dr. Zakir Husain College was established on 04.02.2005 as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of the College. 
  • Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC has become a part of our College system and works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The IQAC makes a significant and meaningful contribution in the post accreditation phase of institutions.

OBJECTIVES

IQAC of the College facilitates the attainment of the following objectives.

  • To focus on institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and facilitate internalization of the quality culture in the College.
  • To the enhancement and integration among the various activities of the College and institutionalize the healthy practices.
  • To provide a sound basis for decision making to improve the functioning of the College
  • To act as a change agent in the College.
  • To better internal communication.

Tailoring is practiced by professional to all girl students.

Life Skill Development Program

Under ‘Driving While learning’ Program driving is being thought to students including girls during free hours and also driving license is obtained after practising. So far 57 staff, 535 boys and 206 girls, a total 798 have obtained driving licence through this program.

INSTITUTIONAL DISTINCTIVENESS

As mentioned in the vision of the college, it is trying to imparting education to the rural people of Sivaganga district. The college is identified by the Government of Tamil Nadu to conduct Young Scientist Program ( a motivation program to the school students to become Scientist) for the school students of Sivaganga and Pudukottai District.

In order to develop the skills of the rural students the institution is conducting Life skill Development Program to all students. Moreover a competition was conducted at the end of the semester ‘Mozhi Mastry’ and the activities of the students are available in the college website and You-tube also in order to encourage the students.

Remedial classes were conducted for slow learners and special test were conducted for getting the degree which fulfil the vision of our college.
