A tree planting programme was held on 22.04.2025 on behalf of National Cadet Corps on the occasion of World Earth Day. College Vice Principal Dr. A. Mushtaq Ahmed Khan presided over the tree planting programme by NCC cadets and College Physical Education Director Dr. S. Kalidasan. Dr. R. Abdul Muthalib, Associate NCC Officer of the college coordinated the programme.
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
