The event of distributing laptops to college students on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in Chennai on January 5, 2026. The event was live-streamed to our college students under the leadership of the college principal, Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan. Final-year students, professors, and staff members participated in the event.
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
