SEMINAR ON OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE

A National Seminar on “Open Source Software” was held on 24.03.2026 on behalf of the Department of Postgraduate Computer Science. Shobana Sri, a first year Data Science student, welcomed the gathering. The Principal of the College, Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan, delivered the keynote address. The Vice-Chancellor of the College, Dr. A. Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and the Head of the Department, Dr. A. Arif Rahman, delivered the felicitation address. Assistant Professor A. Rawther Naina introduced the special guests. The special guest was Mr. M. Muhammad Qasim Khan, Senior Researcher, FOSSEE GIS, National Coordinator, IIT-Mumbai, who delivered the special address. The event was attended by departmental students and professors. Finally, S. Sivashakthi, a third year Bachelor of Computer Science student, delivered the vote of thanks.

About Us

The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
