PALM TREE SEED PLANTING EVENT

A palm tree seed planting event was organized on 14.10.2025 in collaboration with the College National Service Scheme and the Youth Red Cross Society. The event was inaugurated by the College Principal Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan by distributing palm tree seeds to the students. The students planted more than 1200 palm tree seeds on the college campus and the Kanmai bank. More than 150 students participated and graced the event. The event was organized by the National Service Scheme, Programme Officers, Dr. B. Fathima Kani, Dr. P. Zahir Hussain, Dr. K. Mahendran, Dr. Shifa and the Youth Red Cross Society Coordinator Mr. S. Kather Meeran.

About Us

The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
