ABOUT A LIBRARY

Central Library with 334.38 sq.ft build up area is functioning on all working days from 10 am to 4 pm.
More than 50 students can read the books at time.
Students entering and leaving time was digitalized.
Books circulation systems are monitored with Barcode.
At present, 19697 titles and 31048 volumes of UG and PG level books are available.
11 research journals, 6 newspapers and 24 magazines are also available.
E-books of 15000 available and students are also allowed to download.
Association with UGC-INFLIBNET digital library is also available.
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is accessible.

Faculty members and students can avail this access free.
Each faculty and students provided Username and Password to access through the following link.
National Digital Library can access various branches of books.
NPTEL is a platform student can get online courses with certification.

About Us

The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
