HAND BALL TOURNAMENT

The 5th Hand ball Competition organized by the alumni of college was held on 27.01.2026. The College Secretary Janab V.M. Jafarullah Khan inaugurated the competition. The Principal of the College Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan gave the felicitation speech. The Secretary of the Salem District Hand ball Association Mr. Krishnamoorthy participated as the special guest. In the competition in which various colleges participated at the state level, AVS College, Salem won the first place. Vellore, VIT College, came second, Ilayankudi, Dr. Zakir Husain College came third and St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, came fourth. The winning students were felicitated by the Principal of the College Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan, the Alumni of the college Mr. Muhammad Arif and Mr. Ayub Khan. The Director of Physical Education, Dr. S. Kalidasan, gave the vote of thanks. The event was organized by Mr. K.M. Kajanajmudeen and Mrs. N. Vetri.

About Us

The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
