FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The football tournament organized by the alumni of Dr. Zakir Husain College, Ilayangudi was held on 20.08.25 and 21.08.2025. 14 top college teams from the southern districts participated in the tournament. The first place was won by the Puthuvayal, Vidhyagiri College team, the second place by our college team, the third place by the Karaikudi, Alagappa University College of Physical Education team, and the fourth place by the alumni team of our college from Ilayankudi.
These tournaments were inaugurated by the Principal of our college, Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan. The senior football coaches of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Sikandar and Dr. Senthilkumar, participated in the tournament as special guests. The administrators of Ilayangudi Star Muslim Football Team also participated and graced the occasion. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the special guests, former football player and former captain of the S M F C team from Ilayankudi, Mr. Abdullah, and the Principal of College of Education, Ilayankudi, Mr. M.M. Mohammad Mustafa. The arrangements for the competition were made in a great manner by the Director of Physical Education, S. Kalidasan, along with the former football students of Dr. Zakir Husain College, and Mr. K.M. Kaja Najumuddin and Mrs. N. Vetri.
