NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

  • The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
  • It provides opportunity to the Graduate students at college level to take part in various Government led community service activities & programmes.
  • The primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service.
  • ‘Education through Service’ is the purpose of the NSS.
  • The NSS Units of our college conducts regular and special camps, awareness classes, demonstrations, personality development programmes etc.
  • Blood donation to the needy and required patients is a laudable activity of the NSS.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

  • The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement.
  • The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens.
  • The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training.
  • With the support of management, the NCC unit of our college had inculcated a sense of duty, the spirit of discipline, and the service of the nation to the cadets.

  • ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with Government of Tamilnadu offers various faculty development, skill development, Youth Empowerment programmes.
  • Our college has collaboration with ICT academy offers youth empowerment programme on non-profit basis for developing today’s youth as tomorrow’s leaders by improving their communication skills and leadership skills.

YOUTH RED CROSS

  • Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a student organization that is a part of the Indian Red Cross Society.
  • YRC’s mission is to promote health, provide relief during emergencies, and care for vulnerable people.
  • The main objective of YRC has been promoting self-reliance and dignity of labour.
  • Skill training, health protecting, serving the sick and suffering, promoting friendship are other main objectives of YRC.
  • The activities involved in YRC of our college include organizing disaster awareness programme in association with district disaster management authority, health camps, demonstration of fire fighting in consultation with the fire station, responding emergencies like floods also understanding and accepting civil responsibilities.

  • The Science and Nature Club of our college aims to empower and educate students about environmental conservation while raising awareness of major environmental issues.

  • Tailoring course is a great marketable skill which can open immense opportunities for a successful future.
  • College offers this course specially for women students during their leisure time.
