ENGLISH LITERATURE COMPETITIONS

Inter-College English Literature Competitions were held on 13.02.2026 on behalf of the Department of Postgraduate English. Head of Department Dr. A. Anisha Parveen welcomed the participants. Principal of the College Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan delivered the keynote address. Mr. Abdul Aziz, Founder, Aleef Group, Paramakudi and Mr. K.A. Hithayatullah, PG Assistant, KJEM School, Paramakudi presented the felicitation speeches. Competitions were held in the categories of Quiz, Rangoli, Mime, Mehndi, Face Painting, Dumb Carded and Solo Singing and prizes were distributed. Students from various colleges participated in this event and Keelakarai, Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader Women’s College won first place, while Gawsanal College, Muthupettai and Velumanoharan Women’s College, Ramanathapuram won second places. Finally, Assistant Professor Mr. M. Abubakkar Siddique gave the vote of thanks.

About Us

The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
