Dr. P. Ibrahim, Assistant Professor and Head in Department of Tamil. He has more than 2 decades of teaching experience. He is a renowned writer, Tamil Poet, Orator and recipient of 3 awards for excellence in Tamil Literature.
He is an Editorial Board member for the journal of Modern Tamizh Research [ISSN 2331-944X]. His areas of Specialization are Tamil Grammar, Classical Tamil Literature, Kappiya Ilakkiyam, Modern Tamil Literature and Folklore Literature.
He has authored 42 books and 37 research articles. He has been a resource person in National, International Conference and Symposium.
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
