About Me

A.Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physics has three decades of teaching experience. He did his Ph.D., degree in the year 2016 in the Research Department of Physics of Sree Sevugan Annamalai College, Devakottai affiliated to Alagappa University, Karaikudi in the field of Dielectrics and Microwave relaxation studies on Alcohols and Phthalates. He was awarded Best Teacher Award in 2014 by the college management. He published Five papers in International Journals. He has participated, presented and attended many National and International Seminars and Conferences.

He has been the Chairperson for the Board of Studies of Physics under graduate programme of Alagappa University, Karaikudi since 2017. He is also the Chairperson for Physics Valuation Board in the same university from 2019 onwards.

He is a team expert to finalise and submit report to find the equivalence for various Universities Physics related programmes to B.Sc. Physics Programme by Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, Chennai.

He was a member of inspection committee by Alagappa University to inspect the academic and infrastructure facilities for the grant of affiliation to B.Sc. Physics Programme for Three colleges affiliated to Alagappa University, Karaikudi. He was a question paper setter for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. He is also a question paper setter for reputed colleges situated in various Universities. He is a Coordinator of NAAC – Internal Quality Assurance Cell for the IV cycle period of accreditation of our college.
