CHEMISTRY COMPETITIONS WON

Bachelor of Science Chemistry students participated in the competitions organized by the Department of Chemistry, Lady Doak College, Madurai on 30.01.2026 and won. Third year Chemistry students K. Karsana Devi and L.P. Harshita Priya won the Chemistry Picture Drawing Competition, while second year students S. Sameeha Jahan, J. Abrose Hameetha Banu, M. Akshaya, K. Divyashini and S. Pradeepa also won the second prize. The winning students were congratulated by the Principal of the college Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan. Head of the Department Dr. K.A. Syed Abuthahir and Assistant Professors Dr. A. Affrose and Ms. M. Aniz Rizwana were also present.

About Us

The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
