DRUG – FREE TAMILNADU: STATE LEVEL MASS PLEDGE TAKING EVENT

A massive state-level event for taking an anti-drug pledge, presided over by the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Joseph Vijay, was held on August 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The event was broadcast live at the college, organized jointly by the National Service Scheme (NSS), the Anti-Drug Committee, the Road Safety Committee, and the Red Cross Society. Presided over by the College Vice-Principal, Dr. K. Naina Mohamed, the event was attended by 54 professors, three police officials from Ilayangudi, over 400 students, and NSS officers. At the conclusion of the event, everyone joined together to take the anti-drug pledge as administered live by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The event was organized by NSS officers Dr. P. Zakir Hussain, Dr. K. Mahendran, Dr. Shifa, and Dr. R. Syed Ali Fathima, along with the College Anti-Drug Committee Coordinator Dr. S. Kalidasan and Red Cross Society Coordinator Dr. S. Khader Meeran.
