Samathuva Pongal was celebrated in the college on 13.01.2025. College Management committee Secretary Janab V.M. Jafarullah Khan, Management committee members Janab S.K.M. Abdul Saleem and Janab K.S.H. Sirajudeen inaugurated the Pongal festival. The students celebrated Pongal in the presence of Principal, Mr. S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan and Vice Principal Dr. A. Mushtaq Ahmed Khan. Pongal was celebrated by the students in the presence of all the heads of departments.
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
