ATTENDANCE REGULATIONS

  • Day order system with five hours of work per day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one hour lunch break between 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. is followed.
  • The first bell will ring ten minutes before the beginning of the forenoon and afternoon session respectively and the second bell at the hour fixed for the beginning of the classes.
  • After the first bell of each session, students shall go to their classes and take their seats quietly.
  • Students shall attend the classes regularly and punctually on all working days.
  • Attendance will be marked at the beginning of each hour. A student who is not in the class when attendance is taken shall be marked absent.
  • Certificate of Attendance will be issued only to those students who have obtained 75% of the total attendance fixed for the course.
  • No student shall absent himself/herself from the college without prior permission. The application for leave, in case of sickness over three days, must be accompanied by medical certificate.
  • Absence without sanctioned leave will be considered as a serious violation of rules and severely dealt with.
  • Any student who absents herself/himself continuously for ten days without sanctioned leave will have her/his name struck of the rolls.
  • Leave for any particular period may be obtained from the member of the staff who engages the class for that period.
  • Absence for one hour in any session will be counted as absence of half a day.
  • Application for leave should be made well in advance. In cases of absence due to unforeseen circumstances, application for leave should be submitted as soon as possible and not later than the day of return to the colllege.
  • The leave letter should be submitted to the HOD in the prescribed form (available in college office) stating clearly the reason for absence. The application for leave must be countersigned by the parent/guardian and the class mentor concerned.
  • Leave will not be granted during the working hours for the purpose of meeting parents, guardians, relatives or friends.
  • 90% of attendance is essential for getting scholarship.

ERP PORTAL

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) portal has been specially developed for monitoring student’s attendance.
  • Each staff and students provided separate login.
  • Students can login using Roll number as username and Date of Birth (ddmmyyyy) as password.
  • Semester wise Time Table, Attendance details such as present, absent, leave, OD etc. can be viewed through this login.
  • Students are asked to check their attendance status daily using their login details.
  • SMS will be sent to the parents those who absent on first hour.
  • As per university regulation, students having less than 75% of attendance are not allowed to write examination.
  • Absentees will be fined for each day, fine will be exempted to those sanctioned leave with proper leave letter.
  • Any student who absents continuously for ten days without sanctioned leave their name has been removed from ERP portal immediately.
  • Monthly wise attendance report has been sent to the concerned Head of the Departments through the Principal.
  • Students having lack of attendance was regulated through their class mentor.
  • Overall attendance report has been generated twice (i.e. before paying examination fees and before appearing examination) during each semester.
  • Students participating other duties like sports, NCC, NSS, seminars etc. should be properly intimated to their HODs through class mentors.
  • Students who are engaged in other duties during class hours should produce OD letter through the respective staff member.
  • All communications related to the attendance should be acknowledged by Class mentor, HOD and Principal.
