ORIENTATION PROGRAMME (DAY-IV)

The fourth day of the orientation programme for first-year students was held on June 6, 2026. College Vice-Principal Dr. K. Naina Muhammed delivered the presidential address. Dr. S. Nasar, Head of the Department of Commerce, introduced the special guests. In the first session, Mr. A. Murugesan, Central Government Standing Counsel from Tiruppathur, Sivaganga District, participated as the special guest and spoke about legal measures regarding women’s safety. In the second session, Mr. Durairaj, Sub-Inspector of Police, Ilayangudi, spoke about the punishments prescribed for crimes against women. In the third session, Dr. S. Asmath Fathima, Head of the Department of Botany, spoke about anti-ragging measures at the college, while Dr. A. Affrose, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, discussed the functions of the Internal Complaints Cell (ICC) & Anti-sexual harassment Cell for the prevention of violence against women. During the afternoon session, Dr. A. Arif Rahman, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, spoke about government scholarships; Dr. K. Mahendran spoke about the National Service Scheme (NSS); and Dr. A. Abdul Muthalif, Associate Officer, spoke about the National Cadet Corps (NCC). Finally, Dr. K. Sulthan Syed Ibrahim, Associate Professor of Chemistry, proposed the vote of thanks.
