Professor S.E.A. Jabarullah Khan joined Dr. Zakir Husain College in 1995. He is an Alumnus of this institution. He was the Gold medalist in Alagappa University, M.Phil Degree Examination, June, 2011. He had previously served Wakf Board college, Madurai for THREE years (1993 – 1995). With 3 decades of teaching experience and passion for quality in the various stakes of the institution, he has been a source of inspiration and strength to the College since 1995.
The Department of Chemistry rose to limelight during his Headship. He steered the department to produce Gold Medalists (l – Rank) in Alagappa University Final Examination consecutively for eight years (2009 – 2017). With his multifaceted caliber and dedication for the cause of holistic development of the learners he has contributed his might in various capacities apart from teaching.
In recognition of his dedicated service to the institution and for setting benchmark in various assignments, The College Management Committee honored him with Gold Medal at the College day celebration for 2010 – ’11.
The unique feature of this college was that unlike other colleges, this College was not started by any single rich man or business people. Rather, this college was started by the ordinary citizens who have the thirst to start an educational institution for higher education in their locality. A membership fee of Rs.11/- each was collected and every citizen of Ilayangudi has contributed to the emergence of the College.
